Automated logistics facility illustrating the Magic Way demonstrator environment

Demonstrator / system integration

Moving Mountains Together

A practical demonstration of controlled magnetic propulsion, installed beyond the test facility to examine operation in a working logistics environment.

Installation story

Taking a demonstrator into a logistics setting.

The Moving Mountains Together installation marked a shift from controlled testing toward demonstrating the system in an external operating environment.

Engineer working with industrial equipment during a system installationInstallation / validation

Careful planning, shipping, installation and coordination brought the demonstrator from the test facility into a logistics innovation environment.

At the push of a button, the installation demonstrates controlled carrier movement and the system's underlying propulsion principle. More than a visual showcase, it provides a practical setting in which teams can observe route behaviour, interfaces and repeatability.

The project also created a valuable learning cycle. Preparing the equipment for transport, coordinating installation tasks and commissioning the system outside its original test environment helped identify the operational details that matter when a concept meets a real site.

The engineering work behind the demonstrator covered the complete system rather than a single component: carrier, propulsion, track, controls and supporting structure all needed to function as one coordinated assembly.

Moving Mountains Together is therefore both a demonstration and a working reference point—an opportunity to discuss how controlled-route goods movement could be assessed for suitable industrial and logistics applications.

What the project examined

Installation is part of the engineering.

Transport readiness

Preparing modular equipment so it can be moved, received and assembled while protecting critical interfaces.

Site coordination

Aligning access, sequence, responsibilities and workspace requirements before installation begins.

System commissioning

Checking the track, carrier, propulsion and control functions together in their new environment.

Operational observation

Using repeatable demonstrations to examine behaviour and frame the next technical questions.

Demonstrator scope

What is brought together.

The installation presents the essential relationships in a controlled-route transport concept without treating a demonstrator as a finished commercial deployment.

01 / ROUTE

Defined track

A physical corridor establishes where and how the carrier moves.

02 / MOTION

Electric propulsion

Linear motor technology provides controlled movement along the route.

03 / OPERATION

Integrated controls

Command and system responses are coordinated for repeatable demonstrations.

Project questions

Understanding the demonstrator.

What does Moving Mountains Together demonstrate?

It demonstrates the coordinated operation of a carrier, track, linear propulsion and controls in an environment outside the original test facility.

Is the installation a complete commercial system?

No. It is a demonstrator intended to show core operating principles and support practical discussions about integration, route design and suitable applications.

Why install a demonstrator in a logistics setting?

An external setting introduces real installation, commissioning and interface considerations that cannot be understood from component testing alone.

What can visitors observe?

Visitors can consider controlled movement, route definition, system integration and the relationship between the propulsion system and carrier.

What was learned during installation?

The process developed practical knowledge around equipment preparation, transport, site coordination, assembly and commissioning.

Where can I read the project announcement?

The project is covered in the press release.
